5 (Sort of Cheesy) Opening Lines

1. Einstein was wrong.

2. Fermi was right.

3. Jason’s vomit floated, suspended in front of him in the lack of gravity. He wretched again.

4. There was a time when people walked freely on Earth’s surface, or so they told John in school. He wasn’t sure he believed it.

5. As Thomas felt the pressure building behind his left eye, he knew he only had minutes to live. He had always known this moment would come.

6. With the methane clouds gathering on the horizon, the small group of refugees began to search for what limited shelter they could find.

Yes, I realize that was more than five. The first two seemed sort of cheap so I decided to include an extra one.
